Studio Faffi designs leather bags made from reclaimed leather, thoughtfully crafted in the Netherlands. Our work is guided by three core values: circular, local and social. We believe good design starts with responsibility towards materials, place and people.

Circular
We work exclusively with reclaimed leather sourced in the Netherlands. Leather from sofas and chairs that would otherwise be discarded is carefully selected and transformed into new, wearable products. All leather is cleaned thoroughly and upcycled for new use. Because we rely on existing materials, each colour is produced in a limited amount. Natural variations in texture and tone are part of the material’s history and make every piece subtly unique.

Local
All Studio Faffi bags are designed and produced in the Netherlands. By keeping our production local, we stay closely connected to both material and maker. We collaborate with local, social sewing ateliers, ensuring short supply chains, transparency and a high level of craftsmanship throughout the process.

Social
Social means valuing the people behind the product. Studio Faffi works with social workplaces that create meaningful work in an inclusive and respectful environment. By producing in small batches and working closely with our partners, we aim to support fair working conditions while maintaining attention to quality and detail.

Design & longevity
Studio Faffi designs each piece through testing, refining and reworking until the balance feels right, in function and durability. The designs of the bags are timeless and made to last, rather than to follow trends. Every bag is produced locally in the Netherlands, in collaboration with social ateliers, ensuring a fair and transparent process. Working with reclaimed leather means every piece is unique, but always made with the same level of care. 

Care
Reclaimed leather naturally shows subtle variations and traces of its previous life. These marks are part of its character. To keep your bag in good condition, simply wipe your bag with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. If it needs a deeper clean, you can use a mild natural soap, such as green soap mixed with water. Apply with a cloth, using gentle circular movements. Avoid soaking the leather.
Let the leather air dry naturally, away from direct heat or sunlight. Once dry, you can apply a small amount of neutral leather balm or conditioner if the material feels dry.
